If you’ve taken my Internet Marketing 101 or 102 class, you know that Internet Marketing begins and ends with content. If you are the local expert offline, you need to be the local expert ONline. But where do you begin? There are a lot of places you could start…
You could start on Facebook.
You could start on Twitter.
You could start on YouTube.
You could start a blog.
All of these avenues are platforms, but they are NOT content. Just being on Facebook isn’t enough for potential clients to view you as an expert. Guess what, EVERYONE is on Facebook, that doesn’t set you apart. It’s what you do while you’re on Facebook that sets you apart.
So again, the question is, where do you begin?
I think a good place to start is here.
Some people call it Content Marketing, I call it Inbound Marketing, but whatever you call it, you need to start DOING IT. This is the way you’re going to take your Facebook page, your blog, your YouTube channel and create something meaningful and see some return on your time investment.
If you’ve started a blog, I highly recommend this company who will help jump start ideas for your blog each week. It’s a real help, because sometimes the hardest thing to do is to come up with content for your Content Marketing/Inbound Marketing.
Give it a shot and then let us know how it worked out for you in the comments below.
