CTMLS rules and regulations require Realtors® to disclose their ownership/interest in a listed property. So, in selling property they own, or in which they have any interest, REALTORS® shall reveal their ownership or interest in the public remarks field of the listing. For example “Agent related” or “Agent owner”.
Let’s say for instance your son has asked you to represent him in selling his house, you have a vested interest in selling the property and getting your son the best deal you possible can. It is critical to acknowledge this relationship in the public remarks field by specifying that the seller is related to you, the agent. A simple “Agent related” will do the trick.
