Top 10 FusionMLS Enhancements: #10

We are so excited to be launching the next generation of MLS for our members, FusionMLS. In fact, you can join the group of members who are already using the system, simply by registering here. We’ve already started some basic training on the new system which you can sign-up for here.

Over the next few weeks here on this site, we’ll be reviewing some of the incredible enhancements you’ll find in FusionMLS that differ from those in MLXchange. There are a couple of things you should know about Fusion before we even begin to discuss the enhancements in the system:

1.) The database is the same. What that means is that all of your saved searches, contacts and any other settings that you currently have set up in MLXchange already exist in Fusion, so when you launch the new system @ http://ctmls.fusionmls.com you’ll be able to access all of these without doing any sort of migration.

2.) MLXchange and FusionMLS are both currently running simultaneously, however, if you are logged in to one of the systems you cannot be logged into the other at the same time. This is because your username/password will be the same for each system and therefore the system will only authenticate one log in at a time.

Now, on to the enhancements to improve your Connecticut real estate business.

#10: Details View – New Demographic Reports & Link To Client

These two new features that are enhancements to the Listing Details page will allow you to get even more granular with your client then you ever have been able to before.

Let’s start with the Demographic Reports. While some of this information was available in MLXchange, it has never before been available in such a stunning package that will allow your clients to get a full picture of the neighborhood of a property. Take for instance the screenshot below:

This quick report which can be printed out and included in a listing presentation or sent off to a client for review gives you another powerful tool in your tool belt that a consumer searching on their own simply does not have access to.

#10 is a twofer enhancement. The second piece is the “Link to Client” function on the listing details page. Let’s say you don’t want to set up a saved search for your client because you know them very well and you’d like to screen the properties that are being sent off to them. This function allows you to browse listings and when you find one that is right for your client, simply link it to them for their review.

Linking and unlinking a client is as simply as clicking your mouse button.

Each Monday over the next few weeks we’ll be exploring more enhancements to FusionMLS that were not available in MLXchange. If you’ve come across something that you find particularly useful, please leave it in the comments so we can all discover the wonders of the new system together.

Using Google Chrome however the cursor is not visable when signing in to Fusion or when typing a comment when sending a listing via an email. However when using IE 8 on a different computer all is OK

I like the interface, seems to me easier to use and well laid out.
I’m still disappointed that you only get 250 characters for the home description.
    Why is that?

@Robert, glad you like it. Are you speaking as a commercial broker, because Commercial listings are the only ones that include a property description?
